Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over inland parts of the State and will drift towards the
Pilbara and Kimberley coasts during Wednesday and Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State while a trough is
deepens near the Central West coast. The trough will move inland from the west
coast on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 9 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, central and
eastern Gascoyne. Showers possible over the South Coastal and South East
Coastal districts, most likely this morning.
Forecast for Wednesday 10 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern and
western Interior, eastern Gascoyne, and the Goldfields. Showers with a chance
of a thunderstorm through central parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and western
Interior, northern and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and southern
and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 12 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and southern and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
