Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A deep trough lies over the western Pilbara and will gradually track east this
week and contract to inland parts by Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough lies from the Interior to the Gascoyne and Central West coast,
and is expected to deepen further down the west coast over the next few days. A
ridge of high pressure lies stationary to the south of the state, with a high
pressure system in the Bight.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the western and northern Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, western Eucla, and the South West Land
Division. Moderate to heavy falls, gusty winds and hail possible through
central parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent districts.

Forecast for Thursday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, western Eucla and the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Friday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Interior, Goldfields, the Southeast Coastal district and Eucla. Light
showers possible over remaining parts of the Southwest Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 6 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, Interior and the eastern Eucla. Light showers possible over southern
parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
