Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over north of the State and will remain near stationary
over the next few days. A tropical low well to the northwest of WA will
continue to move west over open waters over the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies from the eastern Gascoyne and into central parts of the Southwest
Land Division. The trough is expected to move back towards the west coast
during today and Saturday with a low developing through the Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields. By Sunday the trough will extend from the west coast,
through the southern Gascoyne to the southern Interior.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 26 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and the northeast
Gascoyne. Showers with the chance of a thunderstorm over the South East
Coastal, eastern South Coastal, eastern Goldfields and the western Eucla, with
showers over the remaining south coast west of Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 27 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, Eucla
and the adjacent South East Coastal district. Light showers in the South
Coastal and the adjacent South East Coastal districts.

Forecast for Sunday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, Interior and
the eastern Eucla. Light showers near the south coast and adjacent inland areas.

Forecast for Monday 1 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the inland Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Interior, and the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
