Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over north of the State and will remain near stationary
over the next few days. A tropical low well to the northwest of WA will
continue to move west over open waters over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies from the southeast Gascoyne to the Southeast Coastal district.
The trough is expected to redevelop back towards the west coast during Thursday
to Saturday with a low developing through the Gascoyne and Goldfields.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 25 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and North Interior.
Light showers for the South Coastal district and adjacent Great Southern and
South West districts.
Forecast for Friday 26 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and northern Interior.
Light showers in the South Coastal adjacent South West districts.
Forecast for Saturday 27 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
Interior, far northeastern Gascoyne and northeast Goldfields. Light showers in
the South Coastal.
Forecast for Sunday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior and
Eucla. Light showers near the south coast and adjacent inland areas.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
