Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over north of the State and will remain near stationary
over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough extends from the Gascoyne to the Eucla coast and will move
eastwards into South Australia later today. A cold front is moving over the
South West Land Division this morning followed by a ridge of high pressure
developing in its wake. A new trough will begin to develop down the west coast
from Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 18 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Showers over areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to
Hopetoun, contracting to the south coast by the afternoon.
Forecast for Friday 19 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northern Gascoyne,
Interior and the eastern Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 20 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and
Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 21 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and northern Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
