Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over north of the State and will remain near stationary
over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the west coast will continue to deepen before moving inland
during Tuesday, and into the Goldfields and the Eucla on Wednesday. A cold
front will move over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division later
Wednesday and into Thursday morning. A new ridge will then develop near the
south coast in its wake.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
central and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Moderate to heavy
falls possible over the Kimberley. The chance of an afternoon shower or
thunderstorm for the inland Southwest district and the adjacent Southeast
Coastal and Great Southern districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 16 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior,
Gascoyne, western Goldfields, and the South West Land Division. Moderate to
heavy falls possible over the north and west Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 17 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far west Interior,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, far west Eucla, and the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 18 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West Land
Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
