Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and extends to the North Interior and will
remain near stationary over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing near the south coast and will be the
dominant feature during Friday. A high pressure system will move into the Bight
during Saturday and a trough will form near the west coast. The trough will
deepen further on Sunday near the west coast.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the inland Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern
Gascoyne and the Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 13 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne,
northern Central West and the north and east Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 14 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, central and western
Gascoyne, northern Central West and the north and east Interior.
Forecast for Monday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and
northern parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
