Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the inland Kimberley, Interior and Gascoyne. Another
tropical low may move from the NT into the eastern Kimberley later Tuesday or
Wednesday and move slowly west.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system lies near the southwest coast and will move south of the
State during today. A weak front will brush the southwest of the State during
Tuesday and Wednesday before a new ridge of high pressure develops south of the
State from Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Goldfields, Eucla,
Interior and eastern South East Coastal districts, with showers also possible
over parts of the southwest Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Windy with rain
areas for southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over the
remainder of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla and the eastern
Goldfields. Showers over areas southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay, mainly
coastal.
Forecast for Wednesday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and Eucla.
Showers near the south coast.
Forecast for Thursday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Possible
showers near the south coast and Eucla coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
