Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the inland Kimberley and extends to a tropical low
inland near the northwest Gascoyne coast. The tropical low is expected to move
slowly west, likely moving offshore during Thursday evening before taking a
more southerly track offshore from the Gascoyne coast on Friday and Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A tropical low lies over the northwest Gascoyne and is expected to move slowly
west, likely moving offshore during Thursday evening before taking a more
southerly track parallel, but offshore, from the west coast over the coming
days. A weak cold front is brushing southern parts of the state on Wednesday
evening, before a new ridge of high pressure develops.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 4 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern
Interior. Squally winds and heavy falls possible over the western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 5 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern
Interior. Showers for far northern parts of the South West Land Division.
Squally winds and heavy falls possible over the far western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 6 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Gascoyne, tending to
rain areas over the southwest Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West
Land Division. Rain areas extending south over southwestern parts of the South
West Land Division during the day. Squally winds and heavy falls possible over
the southwest Gascoyne and Central West district.

Forecast for Sunday 7 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne
and Interior. Windy with rain areas for the South West Land Division tending to
showers for eastern parts. Possible moderate to heavy falls for western parts.
