Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and inland Pilbara. A tropical low over
the northwest Kimberley is expected to track towards the southwest to lie near
the southwest Kimberley coast by Sunday. It may then move offshore during the
day and develop into a Tropical Cyclone, moving offshore parallel to the
Pilbara coast during next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building south of the state. A trough lies near the
Gascoyne coast and will extend down the remaining west coast over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and
far northern parts of the Central West district. Rain with squally winds and
heavy falls possible over the northern and western Kimberley. Showers near the
Albany coast in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and Gascoyne.
Rain with squally winds and heavy falls possible over the western Kimberley and
eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 1 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northern
Gascoyne and far northeast Goldfields and Eucla. Rain with squally winds and
heavy falls possible over the far western Kimberley and central and eastern
Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and
far north Central West district. Rain with squally winds and heavy falls
possible over the central and western Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
