Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. The monsoon trough lies
through the Timor Sea with a developing tropical low within the monsoon trough.
The low will develop further as it moves southwest parallel to the northwest
coast on Wednesday and Thursday, dragging the monsoon trough south over
northwest WA for the remainder of the week. It may develop into a Tropical
Cyclone on Thursday and approach the east Pilbara coast late Friday or during
Saturday. There is however still some uncertainty of the movement and
development of the system.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep surface trough lies inland from the west coast with a high pressure
ridge lying to the southeast of the State. The ridge will continue to contract
east as the trough moves further east into central parts on Wednesday and
Thursday. A weak ridge develops to the south of the State on Thursday and
another trough may develop over central parts of the South West Land Division
on Friday.
