Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the inland Pilbara. The trough
may push off the Pilbara coast for periods over the next few mornings until
Wednesday, but should otherwise remain near stationary. A tropical low may
develop over waters north of WA during next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure lies southeast of the State. The ridge will
continue to contract slowly east during Monday as a trough deepens off the the
west coast. The trough will move inland from late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 18 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
and northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, and north and western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 20 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central Pilbara and eastern parts
of the Gascoyne, and the central, southwest and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 21 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and eastern parts of the
Gascoyne, Goldfields, South East Coastal and Eucla districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
