Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening to the south of the State with a surface
trough lying near the Central West district which will move northwest during
Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 4 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, western Interior,
inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers about the southern coast and Eucla coast. Damaging wind gusts
about the Darling Scarp during the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior,
Gascoyne and the northern Central West district.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and far
northern Central West district.

Forecast for Thursday 7 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and over northern and
central parts of the Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
