Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening to the south of the State with a surface
trough lying near the Central West district which northwestwards during Monday
and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, central and
eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Interior, Goldfields and central inland
parts of the South West Land Division. Showers along the south coast. Possible
damaging winds about the hills in the Lower West and northern South West
districts during the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior,
northern Goldfields and the northeast Gascoyne. Showers about the southern and
Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Monday 4 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
western Interior, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of
the South West Land Division. Showers about the southern and Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northern
Goldfields, inland Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
