Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the State. A surface trough extends
through central parts of the South West Land Division down to the west coast
south of Perth. During Friday the ridge to the south of the State will
strengthen and the surface trough will drift north into the Central West, where
it will remain over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, inland
Pilbara, Interior, eastern Goldfields, South East Coastal and the Eucla.
Showers along the remainder of the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, eastern
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Interior, eastern and southern Goldfields and
central and southern inland parts of the South West Land Division. Showers the
south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Interior,
northern Eucla and eastern Goldfields. Showers about the southern and Eucla
coasts.

Forecast for Monday 4 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers about the southern and Eucla coasts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
