Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
The trough will move east during Saturday into the Goldfields and Eucla, as a
new ridge develops to the southwest of the State. The trough will develop again
near the west coast during Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior,
inland Gascoyne, central and eastern parts of the Pilbara. Chance of a
thunderstorm over the Goldfields and northwest Eucla. Chance of a shower over
the southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, and
northeast Gascoyne. Chance of a shower in the South East Coastal, Eucla, and
far eastern Goldfields.
Forecast for Monday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, and inland
Gascoyne.
Forecast for Tuesday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far north Interior, Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, far west Goldfields, central and northern South West Land
Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
