Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the State and a deep trough lies near the west coast. The
trough will remain near the west coast until moving east during Saturday. A new
ridge will develop to the southwest of the State from late Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 25 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and the northeast
Pilbara. A chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the Great
Southern and inland South and South East Coastal districts in the afternoon.
Showers developing near the south coast in the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northern
Interior, inland Gascoyne and central and eastern parts of the Pilbara. Chance
of a thunderstorm over the Goldfields and northwest Eucla. Chance of a shower
near the south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, inland Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
