Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara through the inland Kimberley to a
weakening tropical low over the eastern Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the State and a trough is deepening near the west coast.
Temperatures rising along the west coast as the trough remains near stationary
through to Thursday before the trough moves slowly east on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior. A chance of an
afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the South Coastal district and the
adjacent Great Southern.
Forecast for Friday 25 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and the eastern
Pilbara. A chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the Great
Southern and the South East Coastal districts.
Forecast for Saturday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and central and
eastern parts of the Pilbara. A chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm
over the southern Goldfields and the adjacent Central Wheat Belt. Chance of a
shower along the south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
