Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the northern and western Kimberley and extends south through
the inland Pilbara. The trough moves east during today and Friday as a high
pressure ridge builds to the south. On Saturday the trough will return over the
inland Pilbara and extend into the Northern Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the South Interior, with a high pressure ridge developing
over the southwest of the state. The ridge will remain south of the State for
the next few days with another trough developing near the west coast over the
weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 15 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, adjacent Goldfields and
Eucla. Showers near the south coast and adjacent inland parts and the Eucla
coast.

Forecast for Friday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northeast Kimberley and South
Interior. Showers possible near the south coast and Eucla coast.

Forecast for Saturday 17 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern Kimberley in the afternoon
and early evening. Showers over the South Interior and adjacent Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 18 October
Showers near the eastern south coast and Eucla coast. Showers and thunderstorms
possible over the northern Kimberley and northeast Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
