Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the northern and western Kimberley and extends down through
the inland Pilbara. The trough moves east during Thursday and Friday as a high
pressure ridge builds to the south.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies to the south, with a broad trough near the west coast. The trough
rapidly deepens and moves east during Tuesday and Wednesday, with a high
pressure ridge developing in its wake. The ridge will remain south of the State
on Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 13 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, far northeast Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla. Possible late showers and thunderstorms over the south
and east areas of the South West Land Division. Afternoon and early evening
possible thunderstorms in the north Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Goldfields, Interior and Eucla.
Showers about southern parts of the South West Land Division, with possible
thunderstorms during the early morning.

Forecast for Thursday 15 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior and adjacent Goldfields.
Showers along the southern and Eucla coasts and adjacent inland parts.

Forecast for Friday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern Kimberley in the afternoon
and early evening. Showers possible near the southern and Eucla coasts, and
over the South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
