Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the North Interior and will
continue to deepen and move to the northeastern Kimberley. A weak trough will
begin to develop near the Pilbara coast during Tuesday and Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast. A cold front will brush the
south coast on Sunday before a large high pressure system moves south of the
State on Monday. A mid-level disturbance develops over the eastern Goldfields
and adjacent parts during Monday and Tuesday before contracting east on
Wednesday. A weak trough will move through the South West Land Division on
Wednesday ahead of a cold front that approaches the southwest Capes later in
the day.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 4 October
Rain areas with a chance of a thunderstorm over the Eucla and Interior, most
likely in the morning. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the north
and east Kimberley. Showers over southern districts and near west coastal parts
of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields, with possible
thunderstorms and small hail about the South East Coastal, eastern South
Coastal districts and the adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 5 October
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the north and east Kimberley,
northeast Interior, Eucla, far southern Interior and the adjacent Goldfields.
Morning showers over the South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, Interior, Eucla
and the eastern Goldfields. Morning rain area over the eastern Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, and northeast
Interior. Showers over the Eucla and southeast Interior. Showers developing
over the South West District during the late afternoon and evening.
