Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to coastal parts of the Pilbara and
will move inland of the Pilbara coast today. Another trough will deepen over
the central Pilbara on Friday and move into the North Interior by Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara into the Gascoyne and this trough will deepen
and extend into the Goldfields and western Eucla during today. The trough will
begin to contract east by this evening ahead of a cold front that will move
over the South West Land Division from Thursday afternoon and during Friday. A
ridge of high pressure will then develop near the south coast on Saturday with
a cold southerly flow along the south coast ahead of the ridge as it moves
south of State during Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 1 October
Showers southwest of a line Perth to Bremer Bay. Afternoon and evening showers
and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley and the adjacent North
Interior.

Forecast for Friday 2 October
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay extending to remaining parts
southwest of Denham to Israelite Bay during the day. A chance of afternoon or
evening thunderstorms over the southern South West and western South Coastal
districts. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and the north and east
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 3 October
Showers over the eastern and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over
the north and east Kimberley, Interior and far eastern Eucla. Morning showers
about the west coast south of Geraldton.

Forecast for Sunday 4 October
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the north and east Kimberley and
the Interior. Showers over southern districts and near west coastal parts of
the South West Land Division and over the Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
