Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to coastal parts of the Pilbara and
will move inland of the Pilbara coast on Thursday. Another trough will deepen
over the central Pilbara on Friday and move into the North Interior by Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over northern parts of the South West Land Division. A trough will
extend from the Pilbara into the Gascoyne during Wednesday then deepen and
extend into the Goldfields and western Eucla on Thursday. The trough will begin
to contract east by Thursday evening ahead of a cold front that will cross the
South West Land Division from Thursday afternoon and during Friday. A ridge of
high pressure will develop near the south coast on Saturday in the wake of the
front moving over the southeast parts of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 30 September
Showers southwest of a line from Perth to Albany with morning showers about the
remaining south coast east of Esperance. Afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 1 October
Showers southwest of a line Perth to Bremer Bay. Afternoon and evening showers
and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley and the adjacent North

Forecast for Friday 2 October
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay extending to remaining parts
southwest of Denham to Israelite Bay during the day. A chance of afternoon or
evening thunderstorms over the southern South West and western South Coastal
districts. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and the north and east

Forecast for Saturday 3 October
Showers over the eastern and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over
the north and east Kimberley, Interior and far eastern Eucla. Morning showers
about the west coast south of Geraldton.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
