Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the North Interior and extends through inland parts of the
Kimberley and into the eastern Pilbara. The trough will drift north on Tuesday
and by Wednesday extend from the inland Kimberley to coastal parts of the
Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the Interior with a ridge developing over northern
parts of the South West Land Division. During Tuesday and Wednesday the ridge
will remain near stationary. A trough will extend from the Pilbara into the
Gascoyne on Wednesday and extend into the Goldfields and western Eucla on
Thursday before contracting east ahead of a cold front that will cross the
South West Land Division on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 29 September
Showers about the Southwest Capes will extend into remaining areas southwest of
a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay during the day. Showers and thunderstorms
over northern and eastern parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 30 September
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany with morning showers about
the remaining south coast east of Esperance. Afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 1 October
Showers southwest of a line Perth to Albany. Afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley and the adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 2 October
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Bremer Bay extending to remaining parts
southwest of Denham to Israelite Bay during the day. A chance of afternoon or
evening thunderstorms over the southern South West and western South Coastal
districts. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and the north and east
Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
