Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies along the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts and will move into the
inland parts of the Pilbara, Kimberley and North Interior late Thursday and
Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies near the south coast and a trough is developing through the
Gascoyne. The trough will deepen and move to central parts of the South West
Land Division during Thursday and Friday before contracting eastwards on
Saturday along the south coast.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 24 September
Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the northeast Kimberley.
High-based and mostly dry thunderstorms possible through the Gascoyne and
western Pilbara, extending into northern parts of the South West Land Division
during the afternoon and evening. Areas of raised dust possible through the
southern Gascoyne and the adjacent Central West district.

Forecast for Friday 25 September
Showers over the South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm over
southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm in the
north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 26 September
Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the northeast Kimberley.
Showers possible throughout the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields,
Eucla and the South Interior. Possible thunderstorms about southern parts of
the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, south Interior and the Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 27 September
Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the northeast Kimberley.
Showers and a possible storm over far eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, Eucla, eastern Interior and the adjacent Goldfields. Showers over
remaining southern and western parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
