Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
The trough will push off the Pilbara coast Friday morning, and then broaden
through the Pilbara and North Interior during Saturday. A strong ridge will
develop through central parts of the State on Sunday and Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep surface trough lies over the Interior and Eucla with a low pressure
system over the eastern Eucla will move slowly east on Friday. A ridge over the
South West Land Division will ease later on Friday as a strong cold front
approaches the west coast. The front will move through the South West Land
Division over the weekend before another ridge develops through central parts
of the State on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 18 September
Showers over the Eucla, southern Interior, eastern South East Coastal and the
adjacent Goldfields with a chance of a thunderstorm about the eastern Eucla.
Showers developing over the South West and western South Coastal districts in
the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Saturday 19 September
Showers extending over the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne.
A chance of gusty thunderstorms with small hail over the South West, Lower
West, South Coastal and the adjacent Great Southern districts, most likely in
the afternoon and evening. Morning showers over the eastern Eucla. A chance of
an afternoon thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 20 September
Showers with small hail about southern and western parts of the South West Land
Division with mainly light falls inland. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm over
the Lower West, South West and South Coastal districts, contracting to the
south coast west of Israelite Bay during the morning. A chance of an afternoon
thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 21 September
Showers about the south and Eucla coasts. A chance of an afternoon thunderstorm
over the northern Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
