Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated rain band lies over the central Pilbara and will move
across northern parts of the State during today and Tuesday. A high pressure
ridge will develop over the Gascoyne in the wake of the rain band on Wednesday
and Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front and associated rain band will continue to move across the State
today. A gusty and showery westerly flow will continue in the wake of the
front, before gradually easing during Tuesday and Wednesday. A ridge of high
pressure will begin to develop through central parts of the State on Wednesday
and Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 10 August
Areas of rain through the central and eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne,
eastern Goldfields, western and southern Interior and the Eucla, gradually
contracting east. Showers over remaining parts of the Gascoyne, Goldfields and
South West Land Division. The risk of thunderstorms over the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and adjacent Eucla. Gusty winds over western
parts of the South West Land Division, extending east during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne, the
Goldfields and the Eucla, contracting to coastal parts by the evening. Rain
areas in the Interior and far southwest Kimberley, contracting eastwards during
the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 August
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division,
extending to inland parts for a period during the day. Showers also possible
along the Eucla coast, far southern Goldfields, and over the far southwest
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 13 August
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, Eucla and far southwestern parts of the Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
