Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley coast. The trough will
deepen through the eastern Pilbara on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge lies over the south of the State. A cold front will move over the
southwest during Sunday with a complex low pressure system expected to form
over southern parts of the South West Land Division late Sunday and lie to the
north of Cape Naturaliste during Monday. The remains of the low will then move
east to lie near the head of the Bight during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 2 August
Showers developing over the Southwest district and along the south coast,
reaching the Lower West district and the adjacent Great Southern during the
afternoon and evening. Cold with possible small hail near the south coast west
of Albany during the evening with possible thunderstorms.

Forecast for Monday 3 August
Rain areas and possible thunderstorms over the South East Coastal and adjacent
Great Southern districts with moderate to heavy falls possible, depending on
the movement of a developing low pressure system. Cold and showery over the
remaining South West Land Division, mainly in the south and west. Thunderstorms
and small hail possible in the west.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 August
Rain areas about the South East Coastal district, eastern South Coastal
district, the southern Goldfields and far western Eucla with moderate to heavy
falls possible. Cold and showery over remaining parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla, Conditions easing from the
west later in the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 August
Showers near the south coast and through eastern parts of the South West Land
Division and the Goldfields, easing through inland parts of the South West Land
Division during the day. Cold and showery over the Eucla and southern parts of
the Interior, mainly in the west with possible small hail.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
