Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley coast through to Saturday.
The trough will deepen through the eastern Pilbara on Sunday or Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front is dissipating over the southern South West Land Division with a
ridge developing over the south of the State in its wake. A cold front will
move over the southwest during Sunday with a low pressure system expected to
form over southern parts of the South West Land Division early next week. The
low pressure system will then move eastwards to be over the Eucla by Tuesday
evening or Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 31 July
Light showers about the south coast and adjacent inland areas.
Forecast for Saturday 1 August
Showers about the south coastal districts and adjacent Great Southern. Morning
drizzle about the southern Goldfields and adjacent parts of the Eucla and
Southeast Coastal district.
Forecast for Sunday 2 August
Showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
extending into the southern Goldfields and southwest Eucla during the day.
Isolated thunderstorms possible over the south coast and adjacent parts, most
likely in the afternoon and evening. Small hail developing over southwestern
parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 3 August
Rain areas about the South Coastal, Southeast Coastal and adjacent Great
Southern districts with moderate to heavy falls possible. Showers over the
remaining South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern Gascoyne,
Eucla and the adjacent South Interior. Small hail possible over the South West
Land Division and southern Goldfields. Isolated thunderstorms possible over
Lower West, southern parts of the Central West, the Central Wheat Belt and
South Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 August
Rain areas about the Southeast Coastal and adjacent parts of the South Coastal,
Great Southern and Goldfields districts with moderate to heavy falls possible.
Showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent and
coastal Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and Eucla districts. Possible
thunderstorms over the Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields, South Interior and
adjacent parts of the Eucla. Small hail possible through the northeastern South
West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields.
