Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Bight is directing a moderate to fresh east to
southeasterly flow over northern parts of the State. A trough will develop near
the Pilbara coast in the middle of the week as the high in the Bight moves east.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight and will move slowly eastwards over
the coming days. A cold front will approach the southwest corner of the State
later today but will stall off the coast. The front will eventually reach the
Capes late on Wednesday afternoon before moving across southwest WA Wednesday
evening, reaching Bight waters Thursday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure
will develop in the wake of the front over southern WA. A high pressure system
will then move slowly eastwards across southern WA on Friday.

Evening showers possible near the SW Capes.
Forecast for Wednesday 22 July
Showers near the SW Capes, extending through areas southwest of a line from
Perth to Albany during the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Thursday 23 July
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and far southern
Goldfields, with thunderstorms possible near the western south coast. Morning
showers over western parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 24 July
Light morning showers near the Eucla coast. Morning frost patches through
central inland parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
