Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving into the Bight, directing a moderate to fresh
east to southeasterly flow over northern parts of the State. A cloud band is
contracting into the Interior, and will clear during Monday morning. A trough
will develop near the Pilbara coast in the middle of the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies south of the State, and will move into the Bight on
Monday. A cold front will approach the southwest corner of the State during
Tuesday, before moving across the southwest during late Wednesday, and over
southern parts during Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 20 July
Showers along the southern and Eucla coasts, mainly clearing in the morning.
Patchy rain over the South Interior, clearing by the afternoon.
Forecast for Tuesday 21 July
Chance of late showers near the SW Capes.
Forecast for Wednesday 22 July
Showers near the SW Capes, extending through areas southwest of a line from
Perth to Albany during the afternoon and evening, with possible thunderstorms.
Forecast for Thursday 23 July
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and far southern
Goldfields, with thunderstorms and small hail possible nearer to the south
coast. Mostly morning showers over western parts of the South West Land
Division and the adjacent Gascoyne, with early thunderstorms possible south of
Lancelin.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
