Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central parts of the State and a weak trough
is situated over the west Pilbara. The ridge will weaken on Tuesday but
re-build from Wednesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southeastern parts of the State and a low
pressure system is situated off the South West Capes. A cold front will move
through the South West Land Division during Monday as the low pressure system
moves south of the State. A new ridge of high pressure will build across the
Mid West coast as a weak cold front brushes the south west corner of the State
on Tuesday. The ridge will build further over the south of the State on
Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 6 July
A period of showers and possible thunderstorms extending through eastern parts
of the South West Land Division, eastern and southern Gascoyne and the
Goldfields, reaching the western Eucla by evening. Showers and thunderstorms
over western parts of the South West Land Division with moderate to heavy falls
possible over the South West district.
Forecast for Tuesday 7 July
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Morning showers over the southeast Goldfields and Eucla, with a risk of a
thunderstorm in the far western Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 8 July
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and the
Eucla coast, contracting to coastal areas during the day. A risk of a
thunderstorm about the south coast west of Albany.
Forecast for Thursday 9 July
Showers about the southern and Eucla coasts and adjacent parts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
