Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State and is moving towards
the Bight. A fresh east to southeasterly flow over northern districts, easing
from Sunday as the high moves over southeast Australia and a trough approaches
the Pilbara coast from the west.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the State with a high
pressure system located in the Bight by Friday night. The high will contract
east on Saturday as a trough develops off the west coast. A cold front will
near the southwest on Sunday as a low pressure system develops off the South
West Capes.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 3 July
Showers near the south coast east of Albany, clearing by the afternoon. Morning
frost though the southern Goldfields, inland Eucla, southern South Interior and
inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 4 July
Showers developing near the Southwest Capes later in the day.

Forecast for Sunday 5 July
Showers and thunderstorms developing over western parts of the South West Land
Division and the southwest Gascoyne during the day. The chance of a
thunderstorm southwest of a line Geraldton to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Monday 6 July
A period of showers and possible thunderstorms extending through eastern parts
of the South West Land Division, southeast Gascoyne and the Goldfields,
reaching the western Eucla by evening. Mainly light falls. Showers and
thunderstorms over western parts of the South West Land Division and the
southwest Gascoyne with moderate falls, possibly heavy in the far southwest.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
