Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad high pressure ridge lies over southern and central parts of the State.
A moderate to fresh easterly wind regime over northern parts will continue for
the next few days. A trough associated with a cold front will move through the
Pilbara on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southeastern parts of the State with a high
in the Bight contracting eastwards. A weak cold front will brush over the Lower
West and South West districts during the afternoon and evening. A broad
northwesterly flow will persist over southwestern parts of the State on
Saturday with a cloud band moving over the Central West and southern Gascoyne
later in the day and weakening through the northern Goldfields early Sunday.
Another cold front will cross the southwest of the State on Sunday morning
before a stronger cold front crosses the south of State from Sunday night
through Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 26 June
Showers over areas southwest of a line Shark Bay to Hopetoun, mainly this
afternoon and evening with a chance of thunderstorms southwest of Jurien Bay to
Albany. Showers and thunderstorms also possible about the southern Goldfields
and the adjacent South East Coastal district and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 27 June
Showers southwest of a line Carnarvon to Hopetoun, extending into the remaining
southern Gascoyne during the afternoon and evening. Moderate falls in the west,
mainly near the coast. Thunderstorms possible about coastal and adjacent inland
parts between Geraldton and Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 28 June
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields, southern
and western parts of Gascoyne and extending to the western Eucla in the
evening. Moderate falls about the Lower West and South West districts.
Thunderstorms possible about areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to
Merredin to Esperance.

Forecast for Monday 29 June
Gusty showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields, easing during the afternoon and evening. Showers over remaining
areas southwest of a line from Exmouth to Leonora to Eucla, contracting to the
south coast in the late afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
