Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad high pressure ridge lies over southern parts of the State. A moderate
to fresh easterly wind regime over Northern parts of the State for the next few
days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the State and will persist
through Thursday as a high pressure system forms in the Bight region. On Friday
a weak cold front will brush over the Lower West and South West districts. A
broad northwesterly flow will persist over southwestern parts of the State on
Saturday with a cloud band moving over the Central West and Lower West late in
the day and weakening through the Wheat Belt early Sunday. A strong cold front
will approach the west coast later in the day, reaching the SW Capes in the
evening.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 25 June
Showers over the South West district and clearing from the remaining south
coast in the early morning.
Forecast for Friday 26 June
Showers extending to southwest of a line Shark Bay to Hopetoun with possible
thunderstorms southwest of Jurien Bay to Albany. Moderate falls over the South
West and Lower West districts. Showers and thunderstorms also possible about
the southern Goldfields and the adjacent South East Coastal district and Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 27 June
Showers southwest of a line Carnarvon to Southern Cross to Hopetoun. Moderate
falls in the west, mainly near the coast. Thunderstorms possible about coastal
and adjacent inland parts between Kalbarri and Albany. Morning showers and
thunderstorms about the western Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 28 June
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, the adjacent Goldfields and
southern and western parts of Gascoyne. Moderate falls about the Lower West and
South West. Thunderstorms possible about coastal and adjacent inland parts
between Kalbarri and Albany.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
