Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia extends a ridge
across WA which will weaken slowly during the coming days. A low pressure
trough will lie over the far west Pilbara before moving across the Pilbara on
Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia extends a ridge
across southern WA and a weak low pressure trough sits off the west coast. A
low pressure system and trough is expected to approach the southwest of the
State Wednesday evening. The trough will extend across the western half of WA
as the low passes south of the State during Thursday. A moderate cold front is
set to move through southern parts later on Thursday and into Friday before
another ridge develops over central parts of the state on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 June
Showers developing west of a line Bunbury to Walpole in the evening, reaching
west of a line Kalbarri to Eneabba to Walpole by midnight.

Forecast for Thursday 11 June
Showers extending from western coastal parts to reach southwest of a line
Onslow to Israelite Bay by evening. Moderate falls and thunderstorms possible
near western coastal parts with lighter falls inland.

Forecast for Friday 12 June
Showers southwest of a line Karratha to Forrest easing from the west during the
day. Thunderstorms possible south of a line Lancelin to Kalgoorlie to Eyre
clearing from the west during the day. Small hail possible about southern
coastal districts between Cape Leeuwin and Esperance in the afternoon and
evening.

Forecast for Saturday 13 June
Showers near coastal parts of the Southwest Land Division and adjacent inland
southwest areas. Showers also near the Eucla coast and South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
