Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over the southern parts of the state will maintain a fresh and gusty
east to southeasterly flow over northern parts of the state for the next few
days. A cloud band that has developed over the Kimberley and will slowly
contract north during Thursday and Friday. From early Sunday a tropical system
and associated trough will approach the northwest of WA, for more details see

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing to the south of the state with a high moving into the
Bight on Thursday. On Saturday the high will move east out of the Bight. A
complex storm system will cross the west coast on Sunday, with strong and gusty
northerly winds over western parts.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 21 May
Showers near the south and Eucla coasts. A chance of morning showers or drizzle
over the southern Goldfields. Patchy rain areas over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Friday 22 May
Patchy rain areas over the northern Kimberley, clearing to the north by
evening. Areas of morning frost through the Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 23 May
Areas of morning frost over the southern Interior, Eucla and the adjacent
Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 24 May
Squally rain areas developing over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne and
western Pilbara, extending to the Goldfields and the adjacent Interior during
the day. A chance of thunderstorms over the far western Pilbara and northwest
Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
