Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge will strengthen over the south of the state during the weekend, leading
to fresh and gusty easterly winds in northern parts during the morning. The
ridge will move east during Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will strengthen over the south of the State during the weekend. A
trough will begin to develop near the west coast later Sunday before another
weak cold front brushes the southwest coast on Monday, with the trough moving
east. A new ridge will form well south of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 9 May
Light showers near the coast about the southeast coastal district early this
morning.

Forecast for Sunday 10 May
Late showers possible about the Southwest Capes. Possible light showers or rain
over the northern Gascoyne and adjacent southwest Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 11 May
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Katanning to Israelite Bay. Light falls
anticipated.

Forecast for Tuesday 12 May
Light showers over southern coastal parts and near the west Eucla coast.
