Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. A ridge to the south will push the trough offshore from the Pilbara and southwest Kimberley coasts over the next few mornings. The ridge will strengthen further on Thursday leading to cooler and drier east to southeasterly winds through the North Interior and inland Pilbara regions.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold is moving along the south coast during Tuesday and will then be followed by a strengthening high pressure system that will move to the south of the State on Wednesday and drift further east during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 28 April
Showers and patchy light drizzle through southern and western parts of the South West Land Division, far southern Goldfields and the Eucla contracting to the south coast during the day. Chance of showers or thunderstorms through the Interior, northeast Gascoyne and the southeast Pilbara, contracting east and clearing during the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 29 April
Showers possible along the south coast east of Hopetoun and near the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Thursday 30 April
Showers possible over the eastern Eucla coast. Windy through the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and southern parts of the Kimberley district.
Forecast for Friday 1 May
Mostly clear throughout the state. Windy through the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and southern parts of the Kimberley district.
