Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will
push off of the eastern Pilbara and southwest Kimberley coasts for a period
Thursday morning and again Sunday morning. A trough will move through the
eastern Pilbara and Interior on Saturday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is becoming established over the central west coast
and adjacent inland areas whilst a trough lies inland over the South Interior.
The ridge will remain across central parts of the State through to the end of
the week. A trough will deepen and move east through eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, South Interior and Eucla on Friday and Saturday ahead of a
weak front that brushes the south coast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 23 April
Showers about coastal and adjacent parts between Lancelin and Israelite Bay,
contracting to the south coast west of Albany during the day. Showers and
thunderstorms over the South Interior.
Forecast for Friday 24 April
Showers about the Southwest and western South Coastal districts. Patchy rain
developing over the Midwest in the afternoon and evening. A chance of a shower
or thunderstorm about the far northern Kimberley coast.
Forecast for Saturday 25 April
Patchy rain through the southern Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, and Goldfields.
Showers about the remainder of the South West Land Division, clearing during
the day to the south coast. Possible showers and thunderstorms about the
northern Goldfields and South Interior, more likely through the Eucla. A chance
of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm about the far north Kimberley coast.
Forecast for Sunday 26 April
Showers about the south coast west of Israelite Bay. A chance of an afternoon
shower or thunderstorm about the far north Kimberley coast.
