Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will remain near stationary today and Saturday. The trough will move through the central Pilbara and North Interior on Sunday and Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the west coast deepens and moves east during during Saturday and Sunday ahead of a cold front that will cross the south of the State from late Saturday through Sunday. A new ridge will extend from the Central West through to the South Interior in the wake of the front by late Sunday evening. Another weaker front will brush the south coast later on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 18 April
Rain increasing with a slight chance of thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, Goldfields and southeast Gascoyne, extending into the Eucla during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 19 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far northwest Kimberley. Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and the Eucla with a chance of thunderstorms over the southern Eucla and also the south coast west of Bremer Bay. Possible shower extending up the west coast to Carnarvon.

Forecast for Monday 20 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far northwest Kimberley, eastern Gascoyne, west Pilbara, far northern Goldfields and the western Interior. Showers about the west coast south of Lancelin and along the south coast and adjacent parts west of Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 21 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and thunderstorms extending from North West Cape through the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and central Interior. Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay with a slight chance about the Esperance Coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
