Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will
persist for the next few days. The trough will move off the Kimberley and east
and central Pilbara coast for periods over the next few mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Goldfields to the Eucla. A ridge of high
pressure is developing over southern parts. A trough will begin to form near
the west coast from Thursday and move inland of the west coast on Saturday as a
cold front approaches the southwest in the evening.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 15 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley coast and the inland west
Pilbara. Showers and thunderstorms over the Goldfields, southern Gascoyne,
southern South Interior and Eucla, contracting east during the day. Showers
from Lancelin to Katanning to Israelite Bay, easing later in the day.

Forecast for Thursday 16 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far west Kimberley and inland
western Pilbara. Morning light showers or drizzle possible near the south and
southwest coast.

Forecast for Friday 17 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far west Kimberley and over the
eastern South Interior in the morning. Light coastal showers between Augusta
and Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 18 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far west Kimberley. Showers
developing southwest of Geraldton to Southern Cross to Eyre.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
