Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough is developing over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara
today and will persist for the next few days. The trough will move off the
Kimberley and east and central Pilbara coast for periods over the next few
mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is contracting eastwards through the southeastern
States. A surface trough extends from the Goldfields to the coastal Eucla and
will persist on Monday and Tuesday before contracting eastwards during
Wednesday. A weak cold front will move south of the State late Monday ahead of
a stronger cold front expected to reach the southwest of the State Wednesday
morning, with a ridge of high pressure developing in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 13 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and Pilbara. Light
showers possible southwest of Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay, becoming more likely
southwest of Bunbury to Albany. Possible thunderstorms over the South East
Coastal district and adjacent parts in the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, Pilbara and
the adjacent Gascoyne. Light showers possible southwest of Lancelin to
Israelite Bay, with a chance of thunderstorms over eastern parts of the South
West Land Division and the adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley and Pilbara. Patchy rain
with possible thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne and adjacent northern
Goldfields. Showers and thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields, eastern
Central Wheat Belt, Eucla and the adjacent South Interior district. Showers
southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay contracting to coastal parts in
the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 16 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley, Pilbara and far northern
parts of the Gascoyne. Patchy rain and possible thunderstorms over the South
Interior and adjacent Eucla, clearing during the day. Showers about the south
coast. Possible morning showers about the west coast south of Jurien Bay
