Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends through the Kimberley and Pilbara and into the North Interior. The trough will move very little over the coming days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies south of the State and a trough lies near or off of the west coast. The trough will remain near stationary during Monday and Tuesday before moving inland from the west coast on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, western Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southwest Interior and central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Rain and possible thunderstorms over the South East Coastal, southeastern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers about the remaining south coast.

Forecast for Monday 23 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the southwest Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne, southeast Goldfields, southern Interior and the northwest Kimberley. Rain and possible thunderstorms over the Eucla. Showers about the south coast east of Albany and through eastern parts of the South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Tuesday 24 March
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, southwest Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne. Showers about the Eucla and far eastern parts of the South East Coastal districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 25 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 26 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, southern Gascoyne and the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
