Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends through the Kimberley and Pilbara and down into the Interior. The trough will move very little over the coming days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara through to the South Interior. A low pressure system is moving south of the State maintaining a fresh to strong onshore flow over the southwest with a ridge of high pressure developing over southern parts of the State. The ridge will drift south of the State by Friday with a new trough developing near the west coast by Friday afternoon.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 18 March
Showers about the south coast between Windy Harbour and Bremer Bay and developing late in the evening between Esperance and Israelite Bay. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, northeast Gascoyne, inland Pilbara, western Interior and the Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, west Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, western Interior and northern parts of the Central West district. Showers about the south coast west of Israelite Bay, mainly in the morning.

Forecast for Friday 20 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley. Rain with possible thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers about the south coast of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms for the northwest Kimberley, inland Gascoyne, southwest Pilbara, western Interior and Eucla and western South West Land Division. Areas of rain and thunderstorms over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers about the south coast west of Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and western and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Rain and possible thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields, southern Interior, Eucla and eastern South West Land Division. Areas of rain about the south coast west of Esperance.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
