Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure over the Kimberley and Pilbara with light winds and coastal sea breezes. A trough also lies over the western Pilbara and western Gascoyne.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies through the Goldfields and a low lies to the south of Cape Leeuwin with another trough extending inland of the west coast. The troughs and low will move east into the southeastern parts before a weak cold front approaches later Monday and passes over mainly southern districts during Tuesday and Wednesday. A ridge develops near the south coast on Thursday in the wake of the cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley coast, inland and western Pilbara, Gascoyne, western Interior, northern Goldfields and over the inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms about the northwest Kimberley coast, eastern Gascoyne, southeast Pilbara, Goldfields, Eucla, western Interior and eastern parts of the South East Coastal District. Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 March
Showers southwest of Geraldton to Bremer Bay with thunderstorms southwest of Bunbury to Albany in the afternoon and evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley coast, western Interior, northeast Gascoyne, southeast Pilbara, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 March
Showers southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay and along the eastern south coast with possible thunderstorms southwest of Bunbury to Bremer Bay and east of Esperance. Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, east Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne, South Interior, eastern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, west Pilbara and inland Gascoyne. Showers along the south coast between Cape Leeuwin and Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
