Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure over the Kimberley and Pilbara with light winds and coastal sea breezes. A trough also lies over the western Pilbara and western Gascoyne.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies near the west coast with the remains of a tropical low moving south through the southern Gascoyne. The trough will begin to move east on Sunday with a low developing off the southwest corner of the State. The low will move southeast into the Southern Ocean as a weak cold front approaches later Monday and passes over mainly southern districts during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the far western and northern Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and the western Interior. Areas of rain and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, remaining Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley coast, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, western Interior, northern Goldfields and over the South West Land Division. Areas of rain with possible thunderstorms over southern parts of the State contracting southeast during the day.

Forecast for Monday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms about the northwest Kimberley coast, eastern Gascoyne southeast Pilbara, Goldfields, Eucla, western Interior and eastern parts of the South East Coastal District. Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 March
Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, western Interior, eastern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 March
Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, along the eastern south coast and over the Eucla with possible thunderstorms near the western south coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western and over the eastern Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
