Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low is situated over the far western Gascoyne will continue southwards towards the South West Land Division. A trough will persist over the Pilbara and inland Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure south of the State with a trough down the west coast. A weakening tropical low will move down the west coast on Saturday. The trough will begin to move eastwards during Sunday as the low pushes off the western south coast into the Southern Ocean. A new ridge of high pressure will build over the Central West coast in wake of the trough on Monday ahead of a cold front that will move over the southwest of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior and Gascoyne. Areas of rain with the chance of thunderstorms about the southwestern Gascoyne, northern parts of the South West Land Division and western Goldfields. Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast.

Forecast for Saturday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, western Interior. Areas of rain and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, remaining Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, western Interior, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Areas of rain with possible thunderstorms over southern parts of the State contracting southeast during the day.

Forecast for Monday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms about the western and northern Kimberley, southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the South East Coastal District. Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay to Esperance.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 March
Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay to Esperance. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and western Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
