Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia 
A low pressure trough lies over inland parts of the Pilbara and extends into 
the Interior. This trough will move very little through to Wednesday. A 
tropical low well to the north of the State may move slowly south towards the 
Pilbara over the next few days. It is unlikely to develop into a tropical 
cyclone but may bring gusty winds and heavy rainfall to the west Pilbara Coast

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia 
A weak ridge of high pressure lies well of the State. A surface trough near the 
west coast and will move east during Wednesday and Thursday as a weak cold 
front nears the south coast Thursday night

Forecast for the rest of Monday 9 March 
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast inland Pilbara, north and west 
Kimberley with a chance over the Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Light 
showers about the south coast east of Albany. 

Forecast for Tuesday 10 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley, inland Pilbara and northwest 
Interior. Showers near the south coast east of Albany. 

Forecast for Wednesday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley, inland Pilbara and Interior. 

Forecast for Thursday 12 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara. Chance of 
thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne, Northern Goldfields and Interior. 
Showers near the south coast. 

Forecast for Friday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara. Chance of 
thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne, Northern Goldfields and Interior. 
Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast.
