Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough near the Pilbara coast extends to the remnant low of ex-Tropical Cyclone Esther, currently over the NT. As the low moves further east during Wednesday, the eastern branch of the trough will establish across the Kimberley coast. The trough will develop a secondary branch through the central Pilbara on Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies well south of the State. A surface trough near the west coast will deepen during Wednesday and Thursday. The surface trough will move and lie from the SW corner through to the Goldfields during Friday and Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over coastal and eastern parts of the Kimberley, the Pilbara and western Gascoyne. Showers over southern parts of the Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the western Pilbara and west Kimberley. Possible showers over the north and east Kimberley and near the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Thursday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley, Pilbara and the central Gascoyne. Possible showers over the north and east Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 6 March
Possible showers over the east Kimberley. The chance of showers and thunderstorms over central and southern parts of the Southwest Land Division, the southern Goldfields and western Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 7 March
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and east Pilbara. The chance of showers and thunderstorms over far eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division, the southern Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
